BRAMUN 2025 | Young Leaders Engage in Global Debate at CLIB

On June 25th, CLIB – The Braga International School proudly hosted the 16th edition of BRAMUN, its annual Model United Nations (MUN) conference. This year’s event brought together approximately 150 students aged 13 to 18, who engaged in thought-provoking debates on pressing issues featured on the United Nations agenda.

The central theme of BRAMUN 2025 was:
“The Retreat of Democracy towards Authoritarianism and the Dehumanisation of Peoples” — a timely and powerful topic that encouraged participants to critically examine the current global challenges to democracy.

The conference opened with a keynote address by Matthew Tompkins, Managing Director of Dukes Education Portugal, who urged students to take an active role in defending human rights and upholding democratic values.

More than just a simulation, BRAMUN 2025 served as a platform for civic awareness, diplomatic development, and ethical reflection, reinforcing CLIB’s ongoing commitment to nurturing globally minded, socially responsible young leaders.
