(hereinafter referred to as CLIB), a commercial company headquartered at Rua da Igreja Velha, Gualtar, 4710-069 Braga, Portugal, with a share capital of €1,000,000 (one million euros), tax identification number 504668463, informs users/customers about how it collects, uses, and processes their data and information through its applications.
The rules for collecting, using, and processing data and information comply with applicable legislation, namely Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter referred to as GDPR).
CLIB ensures the privacy of its users/customers as well as the personal data submitted by them, being responsible for the website clib.pt.

This Privacy Policy applies to data collected and processed in the context of users/customers’ interaction with the CLIB website.
Data Collection Channels for CLIB Publications Users/Customers
CLIB collects data from its users/customers through the following platforms:
- User/customer registration on the website;
- Subscription to newsletters on the website;
- Contact from users/customers, via email, to the addresses secretaria@clib.pt and r.publicas@clib.pt.
The collection and processing of personal data are carried out for the following reasons:

- Legitimate interest pursued by CLIB (cf. point (f) of Article 6(1) of the GDPR).
Data Collected by CLIB from its Users/Customers
Identification and contact: name, email address, phone number, and other fields present in the forms.
Technical information about computer devices: operating system, resolution, software, search engine, or mobile device used to access the website.
Anonymous information: record of activity and navigation on the website.
In the context of the relationships established with CLIB, it may be necessary to collect and process personal data of users/customers for the purpose of fulfilling contractual obligations, pre-contractual diligences, legal or regulatory obligations. Therefore, the refusal to provide this data will prevent the complete use of the CLIB website.
Data of Minors
CLIB does not intentionally (nor can it distinguish) collect data from minors under the age of 16. However, if it becomes aware that data from minors have been collected, it will immediately proceed to delete it.

CLIB will not transfer personal data to countries that do not guarantee an adequate level of protection according to the GDPR.
For transfers to third countries or international organizations for which the European Commission has not recognized an adequate level of protection, the transfer of data by CLIB will depend on an applicable derogation to the specific situation (for example, if the data transfer occurs through an order requested by customers/users).
Data Breach
CLIB is not responsible for the content accessed through any hyperlink that leads the user/customer to navigate outside the clib.pt domains, whenever such hyperlinks are the responsibility of third parties.
CLIB uses various technical and organizational measures of technological protection against attacks on the personal information of users/customers, and only subcontracts service providers that guarantee the same level of protection.
The violation or attempted violation of databases obtained through said website will result in the immediate judicial accountability of the offender(s).
Rights of Data Subjects
Users/customers can exercise their rights with the contacts of the data controller of CLIB, referred to below in this Privacy Policy and Cookies.
CLIB users/customers hold and can exercise the following rights regarding their personal data:
Right to Information – at the time of collection or processing of personal data, the data subject has the right to be informed about the purpose of the processing, the data controller, the entities to which their data may be communicated, the conditions of access and rectification, and which data are mandatory and optional.
Right of Access – the data subject has the right to access them, without restrictions or delays, as well as to know what information is available about the origin of the data, processing purposes, and communication to third parties.
Right to Rectification – the data subject has the right to demand that the data about them be accurate and up-to-date, and may request their rectification at any time from the data controller of CLIB.
Right to Erasure – the data subject has the right for their data to no longer be subject to processing, be deleted and removed, under certain conditions, if they are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were collected, if the data subjects withdraw their consent or object to their processing, or if the data processing does not comply with legal provisions.
Right to Limitation of processing – the data subject has the right for their personal data to be limited only to the essential for the purpose of processing.
Right to Data Portability – the data subject has the right to receive their data or request their transmission to another entity that becomes the new controller of their personal data (only if technically possible).
Right to Object – the data subject has the right to object, at their request and free of charge, to the processing of their personal data for direct marketing purposes or any other form of prospecting, as well as to the communication of their personal data to third parties, unless otherwise provided by law.
Right to Withdraw Consent – regarding personal data whose processing by CLIB is legitimized by the consent granted by users/customers, they are granted the right to withdraw consent, without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing carried out based on the previously given consent.
Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Supervisory Authority – The data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the data controller responsible for personal data processing at CLIB, as well as with the supervisory authority, the National Data Protection Commission.
Data Retention Period
The data collected is processed for the period strictly necessary to achieve the specific purpose of each.
