The CLIB team composed of six students won the 1st prize in the category “Use of Technology” sponsored by Microsoft, at the JA-YE Europe Trade Fair held in Vienna. The competition took place last weekend in Vienna, Austria, and hosted 56 mini-enterprises from 10 European countries, where MultiMind Enterprise was the only mini-enterprise representing Portugal. All the teams competed for eight different categories evaluated by professional judges from Microsoft, Accenture and the Chamber of Commerce. MultiMind Enterprise was successful in fulfilling the criteria demanded to qualify for the category “use of technology” having demonstrated an efficient use of the latter, as well as an outstanding group dynamic and effective external communication by using websites, blogs and other social media. In addition they applied a variety of frameworks, tools and channels to ensure the successful implementation of their business strategy. CLIB?s mini-enterprise presented a product, in this case an innovative software, devoted to building the bridge between students wishing to participate in short internships in businesses and their potential employers. This technological solution aims to ensure an effective transition from school to the labour market. “As well as having the opportunity of communicating their innovative project to the general public, this competition made it possible for the students to show the dedication, effort and commitment that it took to put this project into practice. It was with great pride that we accompanied our team and supported all their endeavours, motivating other students to follow their dreams”, quoted Amanda Chohfi, CLIB’s Business Studies teacher who supported the development of the project. |
