Literature Week 2018
"A Thousand and One Nights", one of the most seductive and magical literary works of humanity, brought a very exotic and special colourto the Literature Week.
The week began with an assembly starring Bassem Kheireddine, a Lebanese student who delivered an interesting presentation of Arabic literature, followed by the beauty of Arabic dance, illustrated byMs Faria. The week continued with enriching “shared reading” moments between parents and students, which allowed dedicated time to enjoy story reading together. The children also participated in an exciting collective writing activity which followed the theme "Once upon a time ...", filling the week with magic and creativity. The week was concluded with the Reading Fair, which populated the outdoor spaces of CLIB and filled them withcolour, exoticism and magic! Children shared with parents and peers their own unique representation of a range of texts from Arabic Literature .The day ended with the musical "Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits", magnificently represented by Form 2 and 3, which brought to us music, dance and lots of animation. In short, we traveled on the magic carpet that is literature!
