On the 2nd and 3rd of October, CLIB received at Braga students from CLIP, CLIC and OIS for the 7th edition of BRAMUN.

The first few days of October are dates that are already reserved in the academic calendar of these schools as dates where CLIB welcomes them in Braga for the first of a series of MUN conferences that occur throughout the year.

As in past years, the enthusiasm and level of preparation of the students exceeded expectations.  This year was no exception, and students contributed enthusiastically showing outstanding debate skills when discussing the issues raised at both the General Assembly as well as the Security Council, formed at this event for the very first time this year.

Throughout the two days the delegates discussed innovative solutions to problems that affect society as a whole.  The issues for debate in the 2015 General assembly were related to the question of migrants and refugees, measures to promote the empowerment of women and youth, and global efforts to eradicate racism, xenophobia and intolerance based on beliefs.  The issues discussed at the Security Council revolved around surveillance and terrorism.   The opening ceremony also welcomed Sister Irene Guia, who inspired our delegates by sharing her experience in refugee camps in the Republic of Congo and Rwanda, enlightening our delegates through a very realistic and altruistic reflection about the issues in debate.

We would like to congratulate all delegates for their efforts and contribution at this much enriching and memorable conference.

See you all next year!
